Audio decoding, transcription, MIDI generation and piano playback take place in your browser. We do not receive or store the audio files you choose.
Your audio and MIDI
The conversion tool does not send the recording, its filename or generated MIDI to our server or a transcription API. Files and note data are held in the page's memory while you use it. Downloads are saved through your browser to the location you choose. The tool has no account, saved conversion history or audio-upload endpoint.
Model downloads and browser storage
The first conversion requests static Basic Pitch model files from cdn.jsdelivr.net. When browser storage is available, the tool caches those model assets locally for later use. This cache holds model files, not your recordings or conversion history. You can clear it in your browser's site-storage controls.
Website and model-file requests carry ordinary network information, such as an IP address and request headers, to the services delivering them. This is separate from the audio processing, which stays on your device. See jsDelivr's privacy information.
Hosting and security
This static website is hosted by Cloudflare Workers static assets. Cloudflare handles web requests and may process connection information and security logs to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. The conversion tool itself does not install advertising or visitor-analytics tags.
Contact messages
If you email us, the message and the details you include are processed by the email providers used to receive and answer it. Please describe the issue without attaching private recordings unless you choose to share them. Sending an email is separate from using the converter.
Future third-party advertising
We plan to add third-party advertising in the future. No third-party advertising code is installed today. Before ads are enabled, this policy will be updated to identify the providers, their data practices and any applicable choices.
